Mitsubishi WS-B55 HDTV

Bought a Mitsubishi WS-B55 HDTV tonight at Best Buy. It’s probably too much TV for my apartment, but I figure that since I had my last TV for over 10 years, I could grow into it.
Best Buy was having a promotion that really didn’t interest me that included a free lounge chair with the purchase of any HDTV, but the domino effect caused by big TV in little apartment means that the chair (or something else) will have to go.
One interesting thing I hadn’t realized about HDTV that the sales clerk told me about was that with HDTV and only a regular antenna, I could actually pick up a few local channels in true 1080i high definition, and sure enough, I get KIRO, our CBS affiliate and KCTS, our PBS affiliate in absolute clarity and full surround sound.
Additionally, AT&T Broadband, my cable provider, is also offering a few channels in high definition, including ESPN, HBO and Showtime, so I’ll definitely be calling them this week to get the upgraded service plan.
Oh, the first movie I watched once it was all set up? Terminator 2.
