World of Warcraft

Allison Oakes finally convinced me to install a copy of World of Warcraft on the Mac at home today. It was hard to find a copy locally this close to Christmas, but I finally found one, installed it, patched it and spent most of the night slaughtering creatures and getting experienced at playing.
Massively multi-player online role-playing games have certainly come a long way since Scott Gregg and I got sucked into the world of Asheron’s Call, and I’m a bit afraid of how much time I’ll spend playing over the next months. I can justify a lot of playing at the moment because the weather this time of year in Seattle is perfect for highly engaging indoor pasttimes.
