Ginger and Lime Fish

Recipe from 1,000 Lowfat Recipes by Terry Blonder Golson.

Ingredients

  • 1-1/3 pounds thick fish fillets, such as cod or hallibut
  • 2 tsp finely grated fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup lime juice

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place the fillet skin-side down in a baking dish.
  2. Combine the ginger, soy sauce and lime juice. Pour over the fish. Add water if there isn’t 1/4” of liquid covering the bottom of the pan. If time permits, marinate the fish for 30 minutes.
  3. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the fish is opaque.

Makes 4 servings.

For cod

Each serving has 130 calories, 27g protein, 1g fat, 2g carbohydrates, 0g fiber and 260mg sodium.

For hallibut

Each serving has 170 calories, 27g protein, 1g fat, 2g carbohydrates, 0g fiber and 230mg sodium.
