White Bean Dip

Recipe from Jane Brody’s Good Food Gourmet.
Ingredients
- 1 16oz can cannellini or white kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 4 large cloves of garlic, boiled for 5 minutes, then peeled and sliced
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp hot pepper sauce
- 1-2 tsp minced jalapenos (fresh or canned) to tast
Preparation
Combine the ingredients in a food processor, blending them until they are smooth.
Nutritional information
Makes 8 servings, each having 80 calories, 4g protein, 2g fat, 13g carbohydrate, 3g fiber and 5mg sodium.
